About

Dr. Josiah Rich, DDS, MS, originally hails from Kijabe, Kenya, and now calls Asheville, NC, home while working at Black Orthodontics. When he’s not straightening smiles, you’ll find him skydiving, free diving, or traveling the globe in search of new adventures. Recently, he’s gotten into line dancing and country music, too!

Dr. Josiah earned his DDS and MS in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels!). He’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and loves staying at the forefront of the field, with plenty of experience in clear aligners, orthognathic surgery, and handling complex dental impactions.

What really drives Dr. Josiah is seeing a treatment plan come together and watching his patients, young and old, gain confidence in their smiles. It’s all about those transformations!
