2. Waxed Floss
Waxed floss moves around teeth and braces more easily than un-waxed floss. Un-waxed floss more commonly gets stuck and can even shred up when flossing with braces.
3. Dental Picks
These handy tools are great for removing food that has gotten stuck in brackets or wrapped around wires. They are great to have at home and when you go out to eat!
4. Proxy brushes
Some people call them “go-betweens” and they live up to their name! These cone-shaped tools come are good for reaching spots around your braces that standard brushes can’t.
It’s not technically a tool but it is the most important thing to have as part of your brushing routine while you have braces. When first getting braces, it takes time to learn how to maneuver around brackets and wires. With patience and practice, you’ll get the new routine down in no time!
